Why Retail Has Gone Down

There are many reasons why this has happened. Independent developers shining out, terrible development (I'm looking at YOU, Rogue Warrior). But for whatever reason, downloadable games on the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network have done a better job of immersing me in an environment than most big-budget releases. Some retail still has some shine (Vanquish, maybe Duke Nukem in my opinion), but for now, the #1 spot on the podium goes to XBLA and PSN.

Section 8: Prejudice Should Be Bought

The game is awesome. The campaign will keep you hooked, the Conquest mode will keep you coming back and the Swarm game-play is a nice way to spend a weekend.

It's on Steam, Xbox Live Arcade and PSN for $15. It's also way awesomer than Black Ops, and that's around $100.

Twisted Pixel are the COOLEST DEVELOPERS EVER!!!

Seriously, they made the smash-hit 'Splosion Man. What is not to love about a guy that 'splodes? And the sequel that is coming out this year, Ms. Splosion Man?

As well as nice adventure-puzzle game The Maw and side-scrolling shooter Comic Jumper (as well as new Kinect game, The Gunstringer), Twisted Pixel have pretty much had a perfect record with most of their fans, including me. So go spend $10 on 'Splosion Man right now. It's awesome.

I Don't Care About the CoD-Halo War

Shut the fuck up. You go on and on and on about how "COD IS FOR HOMO'S" and "HALO'S FOR NOOBSTERS,".

Play both. It's not that difficult and they are equal in the fight for the "Best First Person Shooter" trophy.
